Terms of Service
Last updated 10 October 20261. Agreement
By using ReelShowrunner (“the Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. We’ll update this page and its date when the terms change, and email you before significant changes take effect. The Service is run by Alex Thorne, trading as ReelShowrunner.
2. What the Service does
ReelShowrunner reviews your own short-form videos and their statistics from the accounts you connect (currently Instagram), using AI to analyse them and suggest ideas for future videos. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok or Google.
3. Acceptable use
Only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Don’t:
- try to access other users’ data or parts of the Service that aren’t meant for you;
- use the Service to harass, target or harm anyone;
- upload anything that isn’t yours to upload, or that shows people who haven’t agreed to be filmed and shared;
- interfere with the Service or try to overload it.
4. Your account
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, so please keep your email account secure. You can delete your account at any time in Account (see Data deletion for what that removes).
5. Plans, trial and payment
- Free trial. 14 days from when you start, once per person, with no card needed. Its allowances are shown in Account.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, at the price shown in Account when you subscribe (including VAT where it applies), and renew each month until you cancel. Payments are sold and processed by Stripe as the merchant of record: Stripe’s checkout page and receipts show its terms for the payment, and it handles sales tax and VAT.
- Allowances. Each plan includes a number of new videos reviewed, rough-cut reviews and questions to your director per month. Videos posted before you joined are read free. When an allowance is used up, new videos wait until it resets or you move to a bigger plan; nothing is charged extra.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time in Account, Manage billing. Your plan runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, and then stops renewing. We don’t refund part-months, except where the law gives you that right.
- Your right to cancel. If you’re a consumer in the UK or EU, you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days of starting it and get your money back. Because the Service starts straight away at your request, we may keep an amount for the part of those 14 days you’ve used.
- Price changes. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your plan; you can cancel before then.
- Without a plan (after the trial, or when a subscription ends), your account and everything in it stay; new videos aren’t read until you choose a plan.
- Free plans for testers are given at our discretion and can end with 14 days’ notice.
6. Your content
Your videos, uploads, captions and data stay yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. AI suggestions
Analyses, suggestions, pitches, shot lists, weekly reviews, rough-cut notes and answers to your questions are produced by AI from your videos, uploads and statistics. They can be wrong and are for information only; we don’t guarantee any growth, numbers or income from following them.
8. Liability
We provide the Service “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
